Firstly, I'm excited for this little experiment, I hope more people are more active on here.
That being said, I wonder how much the decline of these types of forums (and the rise of the twitter like micro-blogging socials) are a direct result of how we access the internet these days.
In the past we had to sit at our desktops, phones could access the internet but were rather limited, where as the main access point to the internet was the desktop computer.
Now the vast majority use their phones and tablets to access the internet which, I believe, limits the way we interact on the internet. Web design has simplified to accommodate touch screens and smaller screens. We expect instant notifications instead of "logging on" to view things.
I don't know where this small rant was going but glad I can type it out here.
